TJ - HURLER AND BREEDER

Not only is he hurler of the year but won the supreme prize for his Limousin Heifer at the recent Roscrea Show. Marty met him on the family farm in Kilkenny where he was helping with the Fresian herd. 

ALLTECH AND ALL GOOD

The recent take-over of Keenan’s animal feed specialists in Borris, Carlow, by global animal nutrition company Alltech has secured 177 direct jobs in the company which was owned by the Keenan family for over thirty years – and god knows how many hundred more among suppliers in the region. 
Alltech is a 2.5 billion euro global business founded and owned and still run by Irish man Dr Pearse Lyons who was recently named at number 4 in the Sunday Times rich list. Damien met Pearse to talk about beer, a new distillery in Dublin and the rescue of Keenans.
