Ogura's 100 Poems by 100 Poets is a much-loved anthology of ancient, tiny poems central to Japanese culture, written between the 8th and 12th centuries by members of the court in Kyoto. A Gap in the Clouds is a new English translation of the poems by poet Nell Regan and James Hadley.
The award-winning playwright, David Ireland discusses his new play Sadie at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast. The play is directed by Conleth Hill with Abigail McGibbon in the title role.
As part of the RTÉ Illuminations project, the renowned Galway poet Rita Ann Higgins wrote an essay on her Lockdown experience of listening to the Bible - all 86 hours of it. The Longest Listen, and it is available to read on the RTE Illuminations website.
Dublin singer songwriter Gemma Dunleavy released her EP Up De Flats last year. The lead single has been nominated for the Choice Music Prize Song of the Year. Gemma is on the 2fm Rising list of music talent to watch for 2021.
