    Jacques Tati Collection

France's answer to Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Mr Bean was a bumbling everyman, constantly tripping over modern technology and social convention. M Hulot was the creation of comic actor Jacques Tati, and a new compendium: The Jacques Tati Collection has just been released by Studio Canal.

    Brief Encounter

Brief Encounter is the 1945 classic film centring on married housewife, Laura Jesson who unexpectedly falls violently in love with a stranger whom she meets at a railway station. This much loved story is being brought to life on by the Wireless Mystery Theatre company in the Grand Opera House in Belfast next week

Springtime is awards-time in the movie industry but we are going to cast our thoughts back to the film that won the Best Picture Award seventy years ago. In 1944, the award went to Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart; Ingrid Bergman and Paul Heinreid.

    Album Reviews

This week we have quite the mix of albums. First up we have 'Little Red', the second offering from Katy B. Then we have Tinariwen, the Taureg musicians from Mali and their sixth album 'Emmaar' and finally we have Nina Persson, formerly of The Cardigans with a solo offering, 'Animal Heart'.
