The Glenties choir consists of 52 children aged from Second Class all the way up to 6th year in the local Comprehensive School. The choir was started 8 years ago and sing at the Family Mass once a month plus special occasions like Christmas, Confirmation, Easter. We also were invited to sing with the Donegal Youth Orchestra at An Grianan theatre in Letterkenny last Christmas. There are also several young people in the orchestra. Piano Sean O’Donnell Fiddles Elaine Boyle, Angel Friel, Annie McKeown and Eddie Shefflin Guitar Tony O’Callaghan and Conal Shefflin all under the direction of Siobhan Browne(tin whistle and mandolin) I have the privilege of working with the children after school every Friday as Choir Director Anne McDwyer
