On March 23 2007, Leanne Wolfe, an 18-year old Cork schoolgirl took her own life in her family home. On the morning of her funeral, her older sister Triona discovered Leanne's diaries. Leanne had kept a diary since the age of twelve. As Triona read her sister's diaries, to her horror, she discovered that her sister had written about being bullied by a group of six girls for the last five years.
Leanne had received black eyes; her hair had been pulled out, she had been threatened and given numerous beatings. They had called her names and vicious rumours had been spread about her. Her parents believe that the bullying played a major part in her death.
This programme will feature readings from Leanne's diaries and an interview with her parents, Collette and Anthony Wolfe.
