Sarah Mac Donald is a freelance journalist with the Irish Independent and other publications in the UK and USA.

She studied history and classical archaeology at UCD and Pisa University as well as International Relations at DCU.

In the past she has reported from East Timor, the Philippines and Syria.

She has always had an interest in documentaries and researched and compiled the radio documentary ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ for RTÉ FM3 in 1995.

More recently she researched and produced the DVD ‘Mary Ward: Dangerous Visionary’.

'The All-Ireland Behind Barbed Wire' was Sarah's first production with the 'Documentary On One' in 2016.

Timor Leste Coming Of Age is her second production for the Documentary On One.
