KOPEK IN THE 2FM SESSION - MONDAY, JULY 9

Kopek started in Dublin in 2002, The original band consisted of Shane Cooney (drums, percussion) Brad Kinsella (bass & backing vocals) and Daniel Jordan (vocals & guitar). Shane and Brad grew up as next-door neighbours After placing an ad in a local music magazine, the duo became a trio with the introduction of their front man lead vocalist Daniel Jordan.  Shane Cooney was replaced by Eoin Ryan (Drums).
In 2009 Dublin Kopek signed to Religion Music for a large multi-album deal. Their debut album, titled 'White Collar Lies'was  mixed by one of the most sought after Grammy award winning mix engineers; Tom Lord-Alge (Green Day, Manic Street Preachers, Marilyn Manson, U2, Blink182, The Rolling Stones, etc.), Various tracks from the album have been synced across TV and Film; such as the new American Pie film "American Reunion", "Saw 3d" and in Various MTV shows like "Punk'd, The Real World, Jersey Shore and The Challenge" to name a few.
KOPEK have been touring the U.S for the past year in support of 'White Collar Lies'. Their US released single "Cocaine Chest Pains" reached #25 in the American Active Rock Charts and went Top 10 in Canada in Active Rock Station for ten weeks.  The single 'FLORIDIAN' came out June 22nd.

The Separate is the project alias of renowned producer/engineer Rob Kirwan. The album 'Orchestral Variations V.01' features covers of tracks by The Specials, The Ramones, The Smiths and Talking Heads amongst others sung by mark Lanegan, Martha Wainwright, Patrick Wolf and Joan As Police Woman.

'Swing Lo Magellan' is the new album from Dirty Projectors. It's a riot of sounds and ideas - it's got soul, style and David Longstreth's unique quirkiness all over it. The sixth album from Dirty Projectors, and perhaps the best.
