A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick for tomorrow.

Met Éireann has said southwest to west winds veering northwest will reach mean speeds of 50-65km/h with gusts of 90-110km/h.

The forecaster said the combination of strong winds coupled with high tides brings an increased risk of coastal flooding.

The warning comes into effect at 3pm tomorrow and is valid until 1am on Thursday.
