Evelyn Cusack celebrated her 21st on the third of October, 2009......her 21st as a weather presenter on RTE television that is.

When she is not telling us about all the good (and bad!) weather after the nine o'clock news, Evelyn works as a forecaster in Met Éireann. (Her primary degree is in Physics and Mathematics from UCD and she also holds a masters degree in Physics).

Her main role is in communicating the expected weather with the Irish public which includes providing timely warnings of severe weather in order to help save lives and property both on land and at sea.

However promoting The Scientific Method as applied to Meteorology is also her passion. 'If dolphins and leaping frogs and moon dances could predict the weather', says Evelyn 'I would be the first to use them but I have scientific proof that they can't so I don't!'
