Police in Northern Ireland have appealed for witnesses after a number of shots were fired at a house in Belfast yesterday evening.

The incident happened shortly before 7pm in the Pembroke Manor area of Dunmurry.

Bullet holes were found in the front window of the house, and within an interior wall.

Several cartridge cases were also found on the footpath and road.

Police say it is reported that two masked men dressed in black left the area on foot.

The PSNI have described the incident as "a planned and ruthless attack".

They have said it is "shocking that such a reckless act took place at a time when people, possibly children, would have been out and about and possibly passing by".

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
