Three people have died following separate incidents in counties Dublin, Meath and Waterford this week.

In Dublin, a pedestrian in his 30s died after he was struck by a truck this morning.

The collision happened on Ballyboden Way, Dublin 16 at around 8.30am.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His body was brought to the morgue in Whitehall where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

No one else was injured in the incident.

Gardaí conducted a technical examination of the scene and the road has since reopened. They are appealing for witnesses.

They are asking anyone who was travelling in the area between 8am and 9am and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, to contact them.

A another man died in Co Meath following a single-vehicle crash road crash.

The incident, involving a truck, happened on the L2226 in Ballinderry, Enfield at around 5am yesterday.

The driver of the truck, a man aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.

No one else was injured in the incident.

The road where the crash happened was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.

A third man, who was in his 50s, died after being involved in a crash while travelling on a motorcycle in Co Waterford on Wednesday.

The crash, which involved a motorcycle and a car, occurred in Monvoy in Tramore at around 7.40pm on Wednesday evening.

The motorcyclist was brought to University Hospital Waterford where he has since died.

A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene and has been charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court this evening.
