A renewed appeal for information has been issued over a road crash in Co Kilkenny earlier this month, in which a woman in her 40s was critically injured.

The collision involved two cars and occurred at around 6.45pm on Saturday 9 October in the Tinnaslatty area of The Rower in south Kilkenny.

The woman, who was driving one of the cars, was seriously injured and remains in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital.

A forensic examination of the scene was carried out in the aftermath of the crash.

Gardaí at Thomastown believe there are a number of motorists who may have witnessed the crash, but have not yet come forward.

They are appealing to any road-users who were travelling between New Ross and Inistioge or Graiguenamanagh at the time, including anyone who may have phone or dashcam footage, to contact Thomastown Garda Station on 056 775 4150, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
