Fast food chain Supermacs is to create 400 jobs, with the opening of six outlets between now and the end of June.

The expansion will bring to 114 the number of stores the company operates around the country.

Supermacs founder and Managing Director Pat McDonagh said the firm is planning a major recruitment campaign to hire new staff.

Some of the new restaurants will be operated by franchise holders.

The stores will open in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, Naas, Co Kildare, Donegal town and in Cork, with branches in Glanmire, Ballyvollane and on the Bandon Road.

The company is seeking to hire managers, assistant managers and catering assistants.
