This week, presenter David Murphy is joined by the RTÉ's politics team of Paul Cunningham, Conor McMorrow and Edel McAllister on the Your Politics podcast.
The team discuss the criticisms of the Mission to Mali. The Government took flak over its plan to send the Elite Army Ranger Wing to conflict in Mali.
While the opposition raised concerns about the plan, they were given qualified reassurance from Defence Minister Paul Kehoe, but even he conceded it was the "most dangerous mission going".
They also examine the Government’s Climate Action plan and ask whether it is deliverable. Ironically, while ministers are campaigning to keep carbon emissions down, they have been criticised for blocking legislation to stop oil companies drilling for fossil fuels.
This is not the only legislation sponsored by the opposition that has been blocked by the Fine Gael and Independent Alliance administration. There are now 55 bills that are held up in the Oireachtas.
