Home security camera footage captured a bear nonchalantly approaching and then opening the door of a car in the US state of New Hampshire last week.
The footage shows the four-legged suspect standing upright on two legs to open the car door, before crawling inside.
Local authorities in the Thornton area said the bear was most likely searching for food.
The Thornton Police Department said it had received numerous reports of a bear in the Mad River Area, "getting into vehicles to get food or trash left inside and causing considerable damage".
An estimated 4,800 to 5,000 bears live in the state of New Hampshire, according to local officials.
