Jimmy is a very lucky dog. After becoming stranded on a ledge on a cliff at Bells Beach in Victoria, Australia, the border collie was rescued in a lengthy operation.
State Emergency Service personnel and the Country Fire Authority worked together to make the dangerous 15-metre climb down the cliff, strapping Jimmy into a harness, and making the slow climb back.
Jimmy had his owner's telephone number on his collar tag and both owner and pooch were relieved to be reunited, with smiles and wagging tail.
Country Fire Authority Commander Mark Sinkinson told media he hoped Jimmy "has a nice can of Pal and a bit of a sit in front of the fire".
