Two Victorian Amateur Football Association teams in Australia, St Bernards and Old Melburnians, were playing a club match at the weekend when a two-year-old toddler wandered onto the field.

St Bernard's player Alex McLead chose to pick up Pippa Biggs rather than chase the ball, and carried her to safety.

Pippa was eventually reunited with her father who told Australian media that his daughter is known to be a bit cheeky and very active.

Incidentally the final score was St Bernards 39 Old Melburnians 49, and Pippa was safe and sound.
