A British Airways plane was filmed tipping from side-to-side when it hit high winds as it flew over Gibraltar yesterday.

A local worker who was in his office at the Port of Gibraltar captured on video the movements made by the plane before it was diverted to land at Malaga in Spain.

He explained that he had heard a loud engine noise and looked outside to see the aircraft tipping - a sight which was also witnessed by others in the vicinity.

A spokesman for British Airways told Reuters the plane had landed at Malaga as a "precaution" due to high winds in the area and added that at "no point was there a risk to safety".
