Three bear cubs near Reno, Nevada had a lucky escape after getting stuck in a toppled garbage bin.

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, who shared the video on Facebook, helped the cubs get out of their trap after they were woken by the sound of the bin tipping over.

"When daylight came, an agitated momma bear could be seen watching over the bin," the district said in its post.

The video shows a team effort to get the bears out, with Truckee Meadows Firefighter/Paramedic Ed Martin lifting the bin open and Engineer Patrick Walsh deterring the mother bear.
