Surveillance footage taken from a jewellery store in China shows a man squeezing underneath a jewellery shop's metal shutters to steal items worth more than €45,000, Chinese state broadcaster CCTV has reported.

The alleged jewel thief was seen sitting outside the jewellery shop in Dongguan, south-eastern China in the early hours of 13 May, before making his move.
The shop's staff were unaware of the burglary until the following morning when they discovered dozens of items missing, according to the report.
CCTV added that police are still investigating the incident.
