Dramatic footage has emerged of a small car being swept away in a Californian mudslide earlier this week.

The car, with its lights and wipers on, was pushed through the street at the front of the mudslide.

Three days after a massive mudslide killed at least 17 people along Southern California's coast, rescue workers are still picking through waist-deep mud.

They said they feared more bodies may be found but still held out hope for "miracle" survivors.
