The husband of Tina Satchwell has been charged with her murder.
Richard Satchwell, 57, was brought before a special sitting of the District Court in Cashel, Co Tipperary, charged with murdering Tina Satchwell in March 2017.
Detective David Kelleher of Cobh Garda Station gave evidence of arresting Mr Satchwell at the station at 7.34pm on Friday.
At 8.07pm Det Kelleher charged Richard Satchwell with the murder of Ms Satchwell at 3 Grattan Street, Youghal, on 20 March 2017.

Inspector Aidan Lonergan applied to the court for Mr Satchwell to be remanded in custody. He said no application for bail was being made as bail cannot be granted in the district court on a murder charge.
Judge Miriam Walsh remanded Mr Satchwell in custody to appear at Clonmel District Court via video link on 17 October.
Judge Walsh also granted an application from Solicitor Eddie Burke, representing Mr Satchwell, for free legal aid, who told the judge his client was not working.
Dressed in a black t-shirt and grey sweat pants, Mr Satchwell did not speak during the brief hearing.
Members of Ms Satchwell's family were in court.
A major search operation began at a house and surrounding grounds in Youghal on Tuesday with gardaí confirming human remains were found late on Wednesday.
It is understood gardaí are now satisfied the remains are those of Ms Satchwell.
