A group of people have gathered in Limerick city to remember 27-year-old Geila Ibram, who was found dead in an apartment nearby in the docklands area of Limerick last week.
Around 40 people joined the group and left flowers beside candles at Steamboat Quay and stood for a minute of silence in remembrance.
The woman, a native of Romania who had only arrived to work in Limerick a number of weeks ago, was found in an upstairs flat at the Riverdock apartment block on the Dock road in the city, at midday on Tuesday 4 April.
A full garda investigation into her death is under way and a man was arrested in Belfast last Thursday night and has since been charged with her murder.

Local Councillor Elisa O'Donovan had called on people to join in a vigil of solidarity to remember Ms Ibram and to offer their sympathy and support to her family for the loss of her young life.
Cllr O'Donovan said just one week ago people were going about their normal business and had no idea of the events unfolding in an apartment block nearby.
She said she wanted the woman's family to know that as a community they were deeply sorry for her loss, in such difficult and horrific circumstances.
