Cash, a car and designer goods have been seized during a search operation by the Criminal Assets Bureau in Galway and Limerick.
It involved over 60 personnel and was led by CAB officers supported by the Galway Divisional Drug Unit, the Regional Armed Support Unit, the Garda Dog Unit and the Customs Dog Unit.
Six residential properties and one professional premises were searched.
The operation targeted an organised criminal group involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Galway region.
During this morning's operation, cash worth €22,000 and £4,450 was seized as well as a 191-registered Audi A6, designer goods and €17,000 in bank accounts.
The investigation has already resulted in the seizure of €18,680 in cash, two Rolex watches and €66,000 in funds held in a bank account.
