An investigation is under way after a man was found with serious injuries in Ennis, Co Clare, last night.
The man, who is in his 30s, was found unconscious on the Clon Road at around 9pm.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he is being treated for his injuries.
Gardaí believe he may have been assaulted.
They are conducting inquiries in the area and have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have seen activity in the area last night to contact them.
