Parts of Clonmel town are flooded after heavy rainfall last night resulting in high levels of water in the River Suir.

Convent Road in the town, which is prone to flooding, was closed after it flooded last night and remains closed. However no properties were affected.

Tipperary County Council is monitoring water levels on the River Suir and they say they have now stabilised.

However motorists are being warned that water levels in the Suir remain quite high.
