Gardaí are investigating reports of shots fired at Woodpark, Castleconnell in Limerick in the early hours of this morning.
The alarm was raised shortly after midnight by a local resident.
Gardaí attended the scene and recovered a number of spent casings.
The scene is preserved for forensic and technical examination.
No one was injured and inquiries are ongoing.
