A man has died in a road incident in Co Limerick.
The man, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was brought to University Hospital Limerick.
It happened when the van he was driving crashed into a truck that was stationary on a slip-road of the M7 on the Limerick bypass at around 2am.
The lorry driver was not injured in the incident.
The incident happened at Junction 30, Rossbrien (Cork Exit).
The M7 (westbound) is closed while Garda forensic collision investigators complete and investigation.
Gardaí from Roxboro attended the crash site along with the Limerick fire and ambulance services.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and especially anyone with camera footage from the area at the time of the incident.
