An appeal has been issued by gardaí investigating a serious assault in Cork city.
A 41-year-old man was injured in the incident, which happened at around 10.45am on 1 October.
Gardaí say that the man was sitting in a parked car on North Main Street, accompanied by a young child, when he was approached by a another man and stabbed a number of times.
It is understood that the man who carried out the attack ran from the scene in the direction of Adelaide Street.
The injured man's injuries are not life threatening, and he is continuing to receive treatment at Cork University Hospital.
Gardaí are looking to speak to anyone who was in the North Main Street area between 10.30am and 11am on 1 October.
