A juvenile male has been arrested and another man is still being sought by gardaí in connection with an aggravated burglary in Limerick.

The incident happened in the Shannonvale area at around 7am yesterday morning.

Gardaí from Mayorstone Park responded to the incident, in which they said two men had entered a house armed with what was believed to be a knife.

The two fled the scene in the direction of Caherdavin.

An extensive search of the area was conducted and the juvenile was found hiding in the Shannonvale area, where he was arrested.

He is being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

Gardaí are still searching for the second man involved in the incident.
