A cyclist in his 30s has died following a collision on the Ballincollig bypass in Cork.
A car and the cyclist collided on the Ballincollig bypass at about 12.25pm this morning.
The cyclist died at the scene. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The accident happened on the westbound lane of the Ballincollig bypass at the exit for Ballincollig East and the Poulavoune roundabout.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station on 021-4946200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
Meanwhile, six people, aged between 19 and 21, have been injured in a road crash in Co Cavan.
The single vehicle crash happened in the Mullagh area at around 5.30am this morning.
One of the men is said to be in a critical condition at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, while three other men were seriously injured and were taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
One woman and another man are being treated for their injuries at Cavan General Hospital.
The Claddagh Road outside Mullagh village has reopened.
