Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following an incident in Co Kildare last week in which two pedestrians were injured.

A man and a woman, both aged in their 60s, were injured when they were struck by a vehicle at Captain's Hill, Leixlip, on 23 November, between 6.20pm and 6.35pm.

They were both taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where they remain, with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and who were travelling in the Captain's Hill area between 6.15pm and 6.45pm on 23 November to contact Leixlip Garda Station 01 666 7800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
