A 32-year-old motorcyclist has died in a collision on Co Kilkenny.
The incident, between a car and a motorcycle, occurred at 8.45pm last night on the N10 at Templemartin near Kilkenny city.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The occupants of the car were taken to St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, with non-life threatening injuries.
Both the northbound and southbound exits on the M9 at Junction 8 Templemartin have been closed as a result of the crash and motorists travelling to Kilkenny are advised to exit at J7 Paulstown or J9 Danesfort.
The N10 is also closed at the roundabout on Hebron Road on the ring road in Kilkenny city.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, particularly any road users with dash-cam footage who were travelling on the N10 at the time, to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 56-7775000 or any garda station.
It was the second fatal crash to occur in Co Kilkenny over the weekend.
