Two men have been arrested, and guns and ammunition seized, by gardaí who believe they have foiled a murder attempt on an associate of the Hutch family living in Co Wexford.
The men, aged 25 and 27 and from Dublin's north inner city, were arrested outside Gorey at around 1am.
One man was caught following a chase across fields and the second was found hiding in a car in a follow-up operation in the Gorey area.
The two men are being held at garda stations in Gorey and Enniscorthy.
A glock semi-automatic pistol, a revolver and ammunition, along with three cars, were seized as part of the investigation into the ongoing feud between the Hutch and Kinahan criminal gangs.
