Gardaí have arrested a woman as part of the investigation into a fatal car fire in Co Westmeath two weeks ago which claimed the lives of two children.
Five-year-old Thelma Dennany and her two-year-old brother Mikey died in the blaze near Multyfarnham on 9 September.
Detectives from Mullingar, who are leading the investigation, arrested a woman in her 40s today.
She is being held at Mullingar Garda Sstation under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The woman can be questioned for up to 24 hours before she is either released or charged.
