An Irish teenager has died following a two-car collision in southwestern Victoria in Australia.
The 18-year-old man died at the scene after two vehicles collided in Cobden on Saturday, about a two-and-a-half hour drive from Melbourne.
Two other Irishmen from the same car, aged 30 and 21, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The female driver of the other car was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Detectives from the major crash investigations unit in Victoria attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it "is aware of reports and stands ready to provide consular assistance".
