Two men have been arrested after another man was shot and injured in the Finglas area of Dublin.
The man, who is in his 20s, was shot in the leg on St Margaret’s Road just after 5pm yesterday evening.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for his injuries which are understood to be non-life threatening.
The scene was preserved for a forensic examination and traffic was diverted.
Two other men, both aged in their 20s, have been arrested in relation to this incident and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Finglas garda station.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.
It is not known if the gun attack is connected to an ongoing criminal feud in the area.
There have been over 70 assaults, kidnappings, bomb attacks and shootings as part of the ongoing feud between rival drug gangs in Blanchardstown and Finglas.
This included the murder of local man James Whelan last month.
