A man has been arrested after gardaí seized more than €1.5m of suspected drugs and a sum of cash in Kildare and Meath.
The man, who is in his 20s, was detained after gardaí stopped a car on the M1 in Co Meath yesterday morning.
They also seized €39,750 in cash.
Gardaí later searched a number of properties in the Newbridge area of Kildare.
In one of the properties they found €420,000 of suspected cocaine and €1.12m of suspected cannabis.
Gardaí added: "Suspected mixing agents and other drug paraphernalia were also seized.
"All of the drugs seized will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis."
The man arrested is being questioned at Ashbourne Garda Station.
