A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Ireland is in effect for most of the day.
Met Éireann said that thunderstorm activity with the risk of hail will lead to localised flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
The warning, issued at 6am, remains in effect until 10pm this evening.
This morning, Met Éireann said conditions would be blustery with heavy rain clearing towards the north east, with brighter conditions following from the south west.
Highest temperatures will be between 17C to 21C, or a little cooler in northern Ulster, with lowest temperatures of 11C to 14C.

A Yellow thunderstorm alert has also been issued for Northern Ireland by the UK Met Office.
It warned that heavy slow-moving thunderstorms would give a risk of flooding and travel disruption.
The warning will be in place from 1pm to 10pm today.
