A popular soup is being recalled after some products were found to contain plastic packaging.

The Cully & Sully Thai Chicken Soup recall notice was issued by the Food Safety Authority.

The FSA said that the recall has been issued due to the "possible presence of red plastic packaging".

The 400g containers of soup are sold in outlets all over the country.

The Thai Chicken Soup affected has use by dates of 16 January 2021 and 22 January 2021, and contains batch codes ranging from batch 1, batch 2, batch 3 and batch 4.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches.

Consumers who bought any of the potentially affected products are advised to return them to the point of sale to receive a refund.
