Down Syndrome Ireland is asking people to help celebrate this year's World Down Syndrome Day by wearing their most colourful and fun socks.

With so many people self-isolating and social distancing due to the coronavirus, the charity is urging people to share photos and videos on social media using #LotsOfSocks4DSI.

The 'Lots of Socks' campaign represents the extra chromosome that people with Down Syndrome have and is internationally recognised to raise awareness about Down Syndrome.

The president of Down Syndrome Ireland, Liam Ahern, has called on people to to come together while staying apart by spreading some fun during this challenging time.
