The founder of the suicide prevention charity Console Ireland which went into liquidation in 2016 has died.
Paul Kelly was found dead in his home in Co Kildare on Sunday evening.
David Hall was appointed by the Charity Regulator as interim chief executive of Console to oversee its liquidation after it emerged in 2016 that Mr Kelly had used thousands of Console's money on personal expenses.
Mr Hall described Mr Kelly's death as a tragic death for everyone involved.
However, he said "many unanswered questions remain unanswered", due to the length of time it has taken the Office of Corporate Enforcement to investigate the former charity.
