Western counties are to be hit by strong winds on Thursday as an Atlantic storm passes close to Scotland's northern coast.
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow wind warning for counties Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare and Kerry.
Northwest winds of 55 to 65km/h are expected to gust 100 to 110km/h, with winds strongest in coastal areas and over high ground.
The warning comes into effect at 3am on Thursday and will be in place until 8pm.
The storm has been named Storm Caroline by the UK Met Office.
Scotland is expected to be hit by severe winds.
Meanwhile, the Met Office has also issued a Status Yellow warning for snow and ice in Northern Ireland on Friday.
