There are 593 patients waiting for admission to a hospital bed this morning, according to figures from the Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation.

The HSE's TrolleyGar figures put the number lower at 437.

The worst-affected hospitals today, according to the INMO, are University Hospital Limerick with 65 patients waiting, Cork University Hospital with 46 and South Tipperary General Hospital with 42 patients waiting.
