Three men have been arrested after cash worth €414,000 was seized during an operation targeting organised crime in west Dublin.

Members of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped two vehicles in the Blanchardstown area at around 6.30pm yesterday.

The cash was found during a search of the vehicles.

Three men - aged 38, 41 and 42 - were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the activities of a criminal organisation to facilitate money laundering relating to the suspected proceeds of drug trafficking.

They are being detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
