A man in his 20s is due to appear in court tomorrow charged in connection with the seizure of suspected cannabis herb and cash in Dublin.

Gardaí say that the drugs, believed to be worth €166,900, and €8,000 in cash were seized in the Lucan area yesterday.

A car was stopped by gardaí at around 9.15am and a rucksack was found, which had cannabis herb worth €6,900, €4,00 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Gardaí say that a follow-up search was then carried out under warrant at a residence in the Lucan area.

A further €160,000 in cannabis herb was found, as well as €4,000 in cash and other drug paraphernalia.

The man was questioned at Ronanstown Garda Station.
