A man has died after he was hit by a car on the M50 in Dublin.
The crash happened just before midnight on the northbound section of the motorway near the Finglas exit.
The man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to the City Morgue where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.
The motorway was closed for a time on both sides as a forensic examination was carried out.
The road has since fully reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them, especially those with dash-cam footage.
