There are hundreds of children with disabilities around the country who are on waiting lists for school places, according to a group calling for education rights for children with disabilities.

A protest has been held in Dublin city centre by the Enough is Enough group, which claims the Government is not providing appropriate places in schools.

Linda Comerford said the group have engaged with teachers' unions, and teachers want to provide all appropriate supports to children and support their call for more training for teachers.

The protest in Dublin is marching from the Garden of Remembrance to the Dáil.

There is also a protest by the same group taking place in Cork city centre.
