An appeal for witnesses has been issued in relation to a suspected assault on a man in Dublin.
The 24-year-old man was found unconscious at around 4.15am on Clonliffe Avenue in Dublin 3.
He is currently being treated for his injuries at Beaumont Hospital.
Gardaí say that the man suffered a number of injuries, including a head injury. It is believed that his injuries may be consistent with an assault.
It is understood that the man got a taxi from the Phibsboro area at around 2.45am.
The scene at Clonliffe Avenue was examined by gardaí, and they have issued an appeal for witnesses. Gardaí are particularly looking to speak to anyone who was in the Clonliffe Avenue area between 2.45am and 4.15am.
