Two men have been arrested following a drug seizure believed to be worth around €248,000 in Swords, Co Dublin.

The drugs were seized following searches at two properties.

The searches were carried out as part of an intelligence led operation targeting the drug trafficking activities of an organised crime gang.

Gardaí say that half a kilogramme of amphetamine, 12kg of cannabis and 10kg of a suspected mixing agent were discovered during the searches.

A quantity of cash was also seized.

The men, aged 32 and 37, are being held at Ballymun Garda Station.
